Define Navigation dialog box

Use the Define Navigation Button dialog box to assign navigation to a navigation button. In addition to selecting the location to which the button will navigate when the button is clicked, use this dialog box to configure the visual effects that will accompany the navigation, and to select the navigation options you want to apply (for example, restoring all devices at the time of the navigation).

To open this dialog box select the Navigate option in the Button dialog box, and then click the Define Navigation button.

Navigation type

Select the type of navigation to be performed when the Navigation button is clicked:

When you select either the Return navigation or Page navigation option, the Use Default Icon check box becomes available.

Use Default Icon

Select this check box to display the default icon () for the Return navigation or Page navigation button.

Using the default icon allows you to easily assign a consistent image to the navigation button.

To assign text or a different image to the button, clear this check box and then use the options in the Button dialog box to specify the picture or text you want to use. For more information, see Specifying a button's appearance.

Visual Effect

Use this option to select the visual effect (if any) that you want to assign to the Navigation button. Visual effects include things like Dissolve, Wipe left to right, and Cascade. The visual effect you choose appears when the model user clicks the Navigation button.

Effect to black

Select this check box to have the selected visual effect transition to black before moving to the destination of the Navigation button.

Options

Use this section to select actions that should take place when the Navigation button is clicked.
