Running sectors
If you have defined one or more sector frames in your model, you can choose to run selected sectors rather than the entire model. This lets you run simulations for functionally-related building blocks so you can observe their behavior in isolation.
To run one or more sectors in a model
-
From the Run menu, choose Sector
Specs.
The Sector Specs dialog box opens.
-
Select the sectors that you want to run:
- To run the entire model, including all sectors,
select Run Entire Model.
- To run one or more sectors within the model, select
Run Selected Sectors, and then
select the check boxes for the sectors that you want to run.
Note: Sectors whose names are
grayed out cannot run because they are not fully defined (do not have
all entities defined) or have errors.
- To clear your selections so that you can make another choice, click
the Clear All button.
- When you have finished making your selections, click OK.
-
Run the selected sectors:
- If you selected Run Entire Model, choose Run from the Run menu.
- If you selected Run Selected Sectors, choose Run Sector(s) from the Run menu.
