Styles Tab

Use the Styles tab to format a selected model item or items.

The image above shows the available style properties for a stock. The available properties vary depending on the selected item. If multiple items are selected, only properties they share will be shown.

Colors

Use the colors section to set the text and background colors for the selected item. For certain items, borders and lines can also be set.

• Color - set the color for text and lines for the selected item.
• Background Color - set the background color for the selected item.

For either choice, a Select Color window will appear as shown.

Click a preset color or change the numeric values to edit the color.

Text Settings

• Font and font size - choose a font and font size from the dropdown menu.
• Bold - click this button to set the text to bold.
• Italic - click this button to set the text to italic.
• Underline - click this button to underline the text.
• Text Color - click this button to choose a text color.

Size

• X and Y - view or set the current size and position of the selected item.
• Width and Height - view or set the current width and height for the selected item.
• Reset styles to model defaults - click this button to reset styles on the selected item(s) to model defaults.
• Reset size to model defaults - click this button to reset size on the selected item(s) to model defaults.

Delay Mark (Connectors Only)

Check this to put a delay mark on a connector.

Delay marks are used to denote time delays in causal loop diagrams where the connector typically points to what would be a stock in a complete model.

Polarity (Connectors Only)

Use this to place a polarity mark at the arrowhead of the connector. Positive will display a + or an s depending on your settings in the model styles tab. Negative will display a - or an o depending on your settings in the Model Settings Properties Panel. You can place the arrow on different sides of the arrowhead by choosing one of "Inside of arc" or "Outside of arc."
