Although you can define scales and ranges for a variable that's used in a particular input or output device (like graphs, tables, or sliders), if the variable is used in multiple input and output devices in the model, you may want to document or define the information in one place.
Tip: Once you define global scale and range information for a variable, you can override the global value for a specific instance (say, in a single graph) by editing scale or range values in the dialog box for that specific input or output device.
